How to manually add a Private Podcast Subscription


When you subscribe to a free or paid private podcast, you get a private RSS feed that you can use to listen on the listening app of your choice.

You can find your private feed in the confirmation email or webpage you receive after subscribing.

Paste your private feed URL into the listening app of your choice. Here's how on a few popular apps:


Apple Podcasts (iOS)

  1. Click the Library icon (bottom of the screen).

  2. Click the "..." menu in the upper-right-hand corner.

  3. Click "Follow a Show by URL."

  4. Paste in the podcast's RSS feed.


Google Podcasts (Android & iOS)

  1. Click Add by RSS feed on the left of the page.

  2. Paste your private RSS feed.

Note: Google Podcasts (which is being shut down in 2024) is currently the best way to subscribe to a podcast feed on your Android device manually (it also works on the iPhone). Google has said that Google Podcasts' replacement, YouTube Music, will be able to subscribe to private RSS feeds manually.


How to add RSS feed in Overcast (iOS)

  1. Tap the + icon in the top right of your screen.

  2. Tap Add URL at the top of your screen.

  3. Paste your private RSS feed.


How to add an RSS feed to Spotify

Spotify doesn't allow you to add an RSS feed URL to their podcast player manually.
